Salmon Maple Glaze

A whole side of salmon, syrup, Dijon and sesame oil. Eighteen minutes in the oven.

  1 whole side salmon

  ⅓ cup maple syrup

  3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

  2 tablespoons soy sauce

  3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard

  1 tablespoon pepper, or less to taste

Method

4 steps  ·  15–18 min bake

Mix sauce ingredients in a baking pan just big enough for the salmon.

Place the salmon skin side down in the pan.

Scoop some sauce and pour over the fish.

Bake at 450°F for 15 to 18 minutes.

Notes

Skin side down, sauce spooned over the top. The Dijon and sesame oil keep the glaze from reading as sweet.
