Maple Cookies

Soft, buttery, with the syrup doing the sweetening.

Ingredients

7 items  ·  ¾ cup of syrup

  1 c. sugar

  ¾ c. maple syrup

  ¾ c. butter, softened

  1 egg

  1 tsp. baking soda

  2 ¾ c. flour

  Sugar for top of cookies

Method

5 steps  ·  10–12 min bake

Mix sugar, syrup, and butter, then add egg.

Add baking soda and flour and mix.

Roll into balls, dip one side in sugar, and place on a baking sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Remove from baking sheet and let cool.

Notes

Three-quarters of a cup is the most syrup of any recipe here: a 200 ml bottle covers one batch. Good under maple cream cheese frosting.
